Dear students;
The Proficiency Exam for all levels will be on June 16th at 9:00 (written exam) and on June 17th at 9:00 (Speaking exam)
All questions in Reading and While listening are multiple choice and the choices are manipulated.
The procedure will be as follows:
Reading:
There are two reading texts that the time of the exam your teacher will send you a link on STIX.
By clicking on the link you will have access to the exam and you can see the text and questions.
For the first text there are 12 multiple choice questions and for the second text there are 23 multiple choice questions that you should answer in 70 minutes and the choices were manipulated from person to person. After answering all questions click on “Submit/Gönder” the answers will be automatically sent to your teachers.
(After submission you won’t have a second chance to anwer the questions again.)
While listening:
After submitting the reading test, your teacher will send you the audio file of the while listening exam. There are 10 multiple choice questions that you should answer while listening to the audio file. You will listen to a short lecture only ONCE. After answering all questions you will be given 3 minutes to check your answers. After that, click on “Submit/Gönder” and the answers will be automatically sent to your teachers.
(After submission you won’t have a second chance to anwer the questions again.)
Note taking:
After submitting the while listening test, your teacher will send you an outline sheet and an audio file. You should listen to the audio file only ONCE and at the same time take notes on the outline sheet. Then the questions will be sent to you and after answering all the questions in 15 minutes you should send it back to your teachers.
The outline sheet won’t be graded.
Writing:
In writing you will be given 5 different topics that you should choose one and write an essay about it in 70 minutes and send it back to your teachers.
Speaking:
The Speaking exam will be on the Zoom and the examiner will ask you different types of questions. You are asked to talk about a topic with guided questions in 2 minutes.
